Add-ons version 0.9.2 released
A few hours ago we published a new version 0.9.2 of our FreeWLAN add-ons – this is now available on our update server. So the installation can be triggered via auto update using our last versions GUI. In addition we offer a tar.gz file for offline installation.
This update to 0.9.2 contains some refining of existing functions and some recently in our freewlan board published bugfixes. In detail the news is:
- Switching on the bridging function will automatically activate router web interface access via the router's WAN port.
- Backup and restore functions are reworked so you can name your backup file as you want as long as the as the ending of the file contains the string 'settings.fon.image'.
- In QRM mode (router connected via Wifi to the WAN) the GUI’s status page will display the signal quality and the connection speed toward this wireless connection.
- The GUI's auto update function will show after pressing the 'Update now' button a warning notice displaying the duration of the update process.
- The GUI's status page shows the last actual FON firmware version so the FON firmware version will cause no permanent FON update contacting via the web.
- For using special SSH daemon settings it is now possible to define a second additional SSH port in the GUI's network settings page.
- After enabling DynDNS this function now can easily be disabled again.
